444 - 4 December, 2024

Hey everyone,

Welcome back to 444. Thank you for being here.

For those that are new, I'm Max. I'm a photographer and writer from Naarm/Melbourne, Australia. The 444 series will drop into on the fourth of the month from wherever I am in the world. In every blog, you will receive something for me, for you, and for us.

This one will be my last from home before I go overseas indefinitely. I'm currently feeling the polarity ahead of this transition. I'm excited for the adventures ahead, but sad to leave this beautiful city. I am lucky to call this place home.

4. me - Expression

This year, an intention of mine is to express. Express more than I have before. Express beyond my comfort zone. To meet the edges of my expression.

The longer I sit on the edge, I notice how much I'm in my own way. When I find the strength to break through, I am discovering space. New edges to explore. New ways to express.

Things are beginning to snow ball. I'm releasing more work. Photos. Words. Photos with words. Poems. Videos of me sharing poems.

Some of these projects have weighed on me for months. Retrospectively, I don't understand why it took me so long.

I feel light now. No longer holding onto these is allowing new expressions to pass through. Things that I never predicted to be in my scope.

4. you - Prompt

What is an edge to your expression?

4. us - Postcards

I recently carried a journal with me in public. I gave the prompt: 'write something that will help the next person that reads this'.

This project made me notice the power of words. A message can hold so much weight. Love expressions are endless.

Thank you for your contributions. It brought me joy reading the messages and watching everyone's reactions.

I never thought carrying a journal would lead to this. I've compiled my favourites from the journal with recent photos for my first postcard pack!

Something for us to share with our loved ones this festive season.

Find the five-pack of postcards for $15 here.
